Born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina, Chloe Shade (She/Her/Hers) is an emerging Director and theatre artist. Chloe obtained her academic education from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, with degrees in Theatre-Directing and Mass Media Communications. Since her pursuit of performance art, Chloe has worked with The Kennedy Center, The Eugene O’Neill Theatre Center, NC Black Rep., Theatre Charlotte, Queen City New Play Initiative, and UNC Charlotte. Chloe currently serves as the Director of Production with the Nouveau Sud Circus Project, a social circus initiative, rooted in telling social issues through movement. Chloe is committed to creating exposure, access, and opportunity within the arts for BIPOC communities.
